Cannabis Use
Legal use of cannabis doesn't necessarily make it safe. Researchers are still studying the effects of cannabis use during pregnancy on babies, children and youth.
Until more is known about the short and long term effects of cannabis on fetuses, babies and young children, it is safest to encourage persons who are pregnant, contemplating pregnancy, or chest/breastfeeding to avoid using cannabis in any form.
