Fatigue

Due to hormonal changes in the early stages of your pregnancy, it is very common to feel more tired than usual. The extra weight you will be carrying later in your pregnancy can also contribute to feelings of fatigue. Nausea, emotional stress, and the stress of preparing for your baby can make you feel tired as well. Rest whenever you can. As you move further into your pregnancy, sleeping on your side instead of your back or stomach, and being propped up can make you feel more comfortable and help you sleep better. The National Sleep Foundation, the UK's National Health Service, the March of Dimes, and Healthy Families BC all provide useful tips and tricks to alleviate fatigue and improve sleep.
