Prenatal Tests
Your pregnancy care provider will offer you a number of tests during your prenatal appointments, like urine tests, blood tests and ultrasounds. It's great to know something about the tests you will be offered so you can ask questions and make an informed decision about whether the tests are right for you.
Some of these tests are to assess your health and some are to check on the health of your baby. Some tests like the HIV test can be done at clinics anonymously (where you don't have to give your name) to protect your privacy.
Check out the links below for more information on prenatal tests in general and on tests for specific conditions.
