Healthy living in the weeks following birth includes looking after your physical and mental health. A healthy diet, adequate sleep, and support at home are all important. The postpartum period is a time of adjustments for women and families. For most women, it is a time of celebration and changing routines. It is normal to feel anxious or blue some days. However, when these feelings persist or there is ongoing anxiety or depression, you'll need help from family, friends and your care provider.
