Wound Care

If you had an episiotomy (a cut made to enlarge your vaginal opening) or tear during birth, you may have stitches to take care of and/or vaginal soreness for a few weeks. There are strategies that can ease the pain and encourage healing of the wound, and it is important to know when to seek help.

Check out the links below for more information on how to care for your wound and reduce soreness as you recover from vaginal birth. In you delivered by caesarean section, check out our page on caesarean recovery too.
